International Masterclass for Choral Conductors The International Chamber-Choir Competition Marktoberdorf is recognised as being one of the most prestigious competitions for chamber-choirs in the whole world. With this International Masterclass for Choral Conductors, the Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf is offering a chance to combine the musical impressions and experiences gained during the competition with an intensive follow-up seminar. All choral conductors who wish to improve their skills and knowledge at the highest level with outstanding teachers. Participants must have experience of choral conducting. The decision on active or passive participation will be taken on the first day, a piece for examination will be sent out in advance. 12 active participants will be admitted - all others will learn by observing the Masterclass. International Study Tour for Young Arts Managers With this international study tour for young choral managers, the competition team is offering a chance to combine the musical impressions and experiences gained during the competition with an intensive seminar on how to organize such an event. The work in a small and effective group of 8-10 people, the observation of the competition, the direct contact to its director and manager and the possibility to talk to the staff and to have a look back stage are an excellent opportunity for young organizers. Target group: All choral managers, who wish to improve their skills and knowledge. Closing date for applications: April 3rd, 2011 Costs: 240 Euro – 5 days incl.
