International Masterclass for Choral Conductors
June 3 - 7, 2009

The International Chamber-Choir Competition Marktoberdorf is recognised as being one of the most prestigious competitions for chamber-choirs in the whole world. With this International Masterclass for Choral Conductors, the Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf is offering a chance to combine the musical impressions and experiences gained during the competition with an intensive follow-up seminar. The seminar is, however, also open to participants who are not able to attend the Chamber-Choir Competition.

This Masterclass is for all choral conductors who wish to improve their skills and knowledge at the highest level with outstanding teachers.
Participants must have experience of choral conducting.
The decision on active or passive participation will be taken the first day, a piece for examination will be sent out in advance. 12 active participants will be admitted. The Masterclass is not suitable for beginners! Working language is English!

International Study Tour for Young Arts Managers
May 29 - June 3, 2009

With this International study tour for young choral Managers, the competition team is offering a chance to combine the musical impressions and experiences gained during the competition with an intensive seminar on how to organize such an event.
The work in a small and effective group of 8-10 people, the observation of the competition, the direct contact to its director and manager and the possibilty to talk to the staff and to have a look back stage, are an excellent opportunity for young organizers.

Target group:
All choral managers, who wish to improve their skills and knowledge.
Participants of the 1st International Forum – Voice, Youth and Arts Management in Caen, in Feb 2008 are the main target group, however other young choral managers can of course apply!

Costs:
5 days incl. accommodation in simple accomodations in 2 or more
bedded rooms, full board, entrance to competition, programme book
total costs 240 Euros
